1982-83 to 2005-06

A copy of the WVSL handbook for season 2006-07, has come into our possession.  Here’s some information which refers to the White Swan, Bay Horse and Travellers Rest teams.

1982-83:  The WVSL was established

League Winners:

1982-83, 1984-85 & 1985-86: White Swan

1987-88: Two Divisions formed for this season.

DIV.II Winners:

1993-94: Bay Horse

1995-96: Three Divisions formed for this season.

Div. I Winners:

1996-97, 1998-99, 2002-03:  Travellers Rest

1981-82: White Swan – this is before the WVSL was formed so was this a “friendly” cup?

Notes:

2006-07, Evenwood Travellers Rest FC secretary was Stephen Crowther.

A young Gareth Clennell, now settled in Perth, Western Australia, was secretary of Cockfield Queens Head.
