1942: The banner was unveiled and served the Lodge until the closure of Ramshaw Collieries in 1959. The banner carried a stirring message, “Emancipation of Labour: Workers of all lands unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains. You have a world to win.” and the reverse side features a painting of Durham Cathedral. The Lodge’s last president was the late Joseph Stubbs.
